See Inside My Extensive Overnight Makeup Bag

As I mentioned in my last post, Dev and I recently ventured to Chicago. Typical of my lazy lifestyle, I have yet to unpack. But as I stare at my luggage and dread the thought of putting everything away, an idea came to me. I'm going to show you exactly what I packed in my makeup bag for our trip.

You may remember I shared a similar post a couple of weeks ago featuring a peek into my typical overnight bag. This time there are many more products, which actually take up not one, but TWO bags. While I know this may be a bit excessive (go ahead, call me a Princess, I won't mind) it contains everything I needed for a multi-night stay.

Makeup - check.
Showering necessities - check.
Other toiletries - check.
Skincare - check.
Just in cases - check.

Plus I had everything to create a variety of makeup looks - day and night. I used nearly everything I brought with me, aside from a few lipsticks...I may have gone overboard in that department, but hey, I like to have options!

For makeup I use a LUG bag my Mom got me for Christmas. It's small and sturdy but has multiple compartments and fits everything I need, including brushes. To be honest, it's the best makeup bag I've ever used!

Makeup Bag:

Essence Waterproof Gel Eye Pencil in Cocoa Bean
The Body Shop Colour Crush Eye Shadow in Sugar Gaze
Vaseline (my lips always suffer when I travel)
Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Kelly
Revlon Lacquer Balm in Vivacious
Revlon Balm Stain in Honey
Revlon Matte Balm in Showy
Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Pink Souffle
Essence Lipliner in Wish Me A Rose
Essence Lipliner in Satin Mauve
Mac Amplified Cream Lipstick in Impassioned
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake
L'Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds in Blake's Red
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Prague
Essence Longlasting Lipstick in Barely There!

Toiletries Bag:
Clear Care Contact Lens Solution (because I'm basically blind)
Contact Lens Case
Toothbrush (bought at a Trading Post in Sauble Beach one weekend...nothing fancy. I typically rely on Dev bringing enough toothpaste for the both of us)
LUSH Trichomania Solid Shampoo (which melted in my hot car and is no longer solid, but still works the same)
Bath & Body Works Secret Wonderland Shower Gel
LUSH No Drought Dry Shampoo

I actually think I did pretty good! There are probably some people that would pack more. And others would bring much less. But we're all different. We all have different needs and some of us prefer to 'LUG' more than others. In my opinion, it's always better to have too much than too little...because you just never know!
