By the time you are reading this, Dev and I have landed in Paris! And while I plan to take a bit of a break from blogging to enjoy our two weeks in Europe, I do have a couple of posts scheduled to go up while I’m away…the first being my May favourites!!
To be honest, this month has felt super hectic and I haven’t actually tried a ton of new products, but I do have a few standout items that I couldn’t resist gushing over.
This ‘melting gel’ lippie has THE BEST caramel scent I have ever smelled! I really love the lightweight feeling that’s not too thick or gloopy, but if i’m honest, it’s the sugary sweet scent that encourages me to reach for this product so often. There’s something so decadent and special about any makeup product that smells delightfully delicious. Although the sheer pink with a hint of shimmer makes my lips look shiny and plump, which is also a good quality.
Since starting to use this product every day, twice a day, I have said peace out to my under eye bags! Well, maybe I’ve just been sleeping a little better…but I have noticed a big improvement to my dark circles. I love how cooling The Ordinary Caffeine Solution feels! And despite being very liquidy, it really sinks in and hydrates my skin, which in turn helps concealer blend smoothly. I often struggle with milia (tiny white bumps that look like pimples) typically caused by clogged pores from thick eye creams, but since using this product regularly they have disappeared!
I wasn’t really sure how I felt about this liquid highlighter when I first got it around Christmas, but now I absolutely LOVE it!! I slather a few drops all over my face until I basically look like the Tin Man. It’s super metallic and a little scary looking at first, but it does dry down and look quite beautiful under foundation. It gives the skin a nice, golden sheen that makes makeup look super dewy and natural.
I bought this during a local craft fair at the beginning of May and it’s already nearly gone! I’m seriously concerned because the company’s site seems to be down and I don’t know where I can go to buy more! It is slightly sweeter than most natural peanut butters and has a nice fruity flavour. My favourite way to eat it is by dropping a spoonful over oatmeal with diced pear and pumpkin seeds.
Folks over at Monkey Butter…if you read this, let me know where I can get more of your addicting peanut butter!! I don’t know how I am going to live without it! There were also a ton of other interesting flavours that I want to try, like salted caramel, maple bacon and white chocolate pretzel. How good do those sound?! I’m basically salivating as I type…
