OK guys, I’m going to set a goal for myself to write about my empty products roughly every four months. If you saw my massive empty product series last year, you’ll know that I often put off these posts for one reason or another…
Well not anymore! In an attempt to make these posts a little shorter for you to read, and a little less daunting for me to write, I’m going to create a schedule. Plus, I figure four months is a decent amount of time to use up products. Especially items like mascara and concealer.
Let’s begin, shall we?
I love, love, love this bubble bath! The scent is truly amazing!! I also appreciate that Being by Sanctuary Spa is an affordable brand and can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart. It means buying another bottle is easy to do, and stocking up on four is more reasonable than purchasing one high-end beauty product.
It never takes long to finish a travel size micellar water. I love keeping the smaller version in my purse for emergency situations or touch-ups. I can always count on it to remove my makeup and enjoy the lightweight feeling on my skin.
I’m incredibly sad that this bottle is empty. I’ve pumped and scrape every last bit, trying to extend its life. It’s officially a goner and I’ve come to accept the fact that I’ll just have to go buy a new one. Thus far, it’s the best foundation I have ever tried (for my skin type). The consistency is fairly thin and although it’s only light-medium coverage, I love how fresh and even it makes my skin look.
Despite being the wrong colour for my skin tone, I did enjoy the consistency of this concealer. It’s lightweight, with buildable coverage and is infused with pineapple extract, to help brighten and improve the appearance of dark circles and fine lines. I haven’t yet – because I’m always testing and rotating through different concealers – but I would purchase this one again.
It feels like I reviewed this product ages ago (see here) and it looks like they’ve possibly changed the packaging since. I gave it a pretty good rating then, and my opinions did not change. The consistency is nice – not too thick, not too thin – with great coverage. It hides dark circles without looking heavy under the eyes. The colour range is not the best, but overall I think this concealer tops my list of drugstore concealers.
For a drugstore product, this primer is pretty good! It has a silicone texture and feels nice on the skin, while visibly smoothing pores or problem areas. I never experienced any irritations and sometimes I even used it on no-makeup makeup days to make my skin look more even.
There’s not much to say about this product that I haven’t already said here on my blog before. I adore this mascara!!! Click here to check out my full review.
I received this lip and eye mask set from a PR event last year, but I will definitely buy a pack with my own money. In fact, I’m off to ULTA for my very first time in a couple of weeks and I see that Patchology is sold there. I’ll probably grab one of these then and maybe explore the brands other products.
Ps. What other ULTA brands should I try? I’m especially curious about those hard to find in Canada.
*Note: It doesn’t look like it did when I first bought it, because I have squeezed every last bit of the heavenly lip mask out, therefore rubbing the exterior packaging off entirely.
This puppy lasted me a SUUUUUPER long time. A small amount goes a long way and coats the lips with nourishing agave nectar and jojoba oil. It’s best used overnight, but I also enjoy using it to prep my pucker for a liquid lipstick. My lips always feel hydrated, smooth and they look healthier too. I struggle with dryness and cracks, making it difficult to wear matte or long-wear colours. I swear by the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask. It’s a lip-saver!
I really enjoyed using this face mask. It was super saturated and made my skin feel nice and hydrated.
It could have been a placebo effect, but I noticed a difference to the appearance of my under eyes any time I used this serum. Now, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding this company lately – and I won’t get into details – but I’m torn about whether or not I want to support them any longer. For now, I won’t be re-purchasing anything from the brand.
I used up the travel size shampoo from this same range, however, I have no idea where the bottle disappeared to. At first I LOVED the combination. They’re super rich and made my hair feel super soft. But after a few weeks I noticed my hair became greasy. I had to start using a clarifying shampoo every now and then.
My lids are not too oily, so this drugstore primer works great for me! I honestly don’t see a reason to purchase anything else. Especially as this one is already super affordable.
I hope you enjoy this empties post and learned something about a product you maybe haven’t tried before. Stay tuned for another in August!
