My family and friends know me well! For my birthday a couple of weekends ago, I was gifted a bunch of LUSH goodies, as well as a gift certificate to the store so I could pick out some items myself.
It’s been a longgggg minute since I featured LUSH on the blog, so I thought I would share a little LUSH birthday themed haul with you all! If you’re curious to see everything I got, continue reading.
Bath Oils
Isn’t this biodegradable carton so cute?! Instead of hiding eggs inside, however, it houses four little bath oils. They may look small, but boy are they mighty! Made up of butters and essential oils, they melt with the heat of the water and create a luxuriously hydrating bath.
I’m not a huge Bath Bomb fan because I feel they’re a waste of money. While they’re fun to watch, can change the colour of the water and smell great, they’re gone after just one use. To contradict myself, however, I have to admit that Bath Oils, are totally worth the money despite being a one-time-use product. They’re slightly cheaper than Bath Bombs and they make my skin feel ahhhhh-mazing!!
Furze
Furze is the most strange looking bath oil. It’s covered in dried elderflower and amaranth flowers, and reminds me of something from a Dr. Seuss story. It’s quite prickly and doesn’t seem like something I would want to toss in my tub. But as it melts in the water, the flowers float and coconut oil is released to soften the skin. It also creates a beautiful tropical fragrance.
I will say, it can be a wee bit messy, leaving bits of petals around the tub, but that’s nothing a quick spray with the shower head can’t fix.
You’ve Been Mangoed
This little guy has the most fantastic citrus-y fragrance! It’s filled with lemongrass, lemon and lime oils, which are huge mood-boosters. It also contains avocado and mango butter to moisturize the skin.
Happy Thoughts
Hidden within this peachy-orange scented bath oil is Himalayan rock salt, which can help detoxify the body.
Magnificent
Similar to You’ve Been Mangoed, Magnificent has an uplifting citrus scent consisting of grapefruit and tangerine oils. It’s super energizing!
Bubble Bars
A French Kiss Bubble Bar
This Bubble Bar is made for those nights when you’re body just won’t let you fall asleep. It contains lavender, rosemary and thyme, which create the most relaxing fragrance to help calm the mind. It’s also pretty cute, with the swirl of purple and sprig of lavender poking out from the top.
The Comforter Bubble Bar
If you’ve seen my post dedicated to this pink stunner (see here), then you’ll know that I can’t leave a LUSH store without one.
Foot Care
Volcano Foot Mask
I definitely wanted to try some new (to me) items when I ventured into LUSH to spend my gift card. I’ve explored many of their products before, but it was important that I veered away from my go-to’s and gave something different a chance. Seeing as it’s summer and I have been wearing a lot of sandals lately, I want to make sure my feet feel and look nice. I decided to try a foot mask and was pleased to find that Volcano smells surprisingly pleasant. I don’t know about you, but any foot care product I have tried in the past smells like arse. This one has a similar scent to my favourite Massage Bar, Wiccy Magic Muscles!
It’s cinnamon-y but has a subtle hint of papaya and lemon, which not only make it smell nice, but help to cleanse the skin as well. It also contains kaolin to draw out dirt and slough off dry skin, as well as tomatoes and potatoes, which are said to help deodorize.
Pumice Power
I was told the best way to rinse the Volcano Foot Mask is to use Pumice Power, a gritty, rock-like soap bar that will further help to exfoliate dead skin.
Skincare
Sleepy Body Lotion
This lavender and tonka scented lotion is said to help de-stress and make you feel at ease. I’ve heard amazing things and I’m hoping it will help me catch more zzzz’s.
Let The Good Times Roll Face and Body Cleanser
This is my favourite facial cleanser from LUSH. It’s made up of maize flour, polenta, and (oddly) a popcorn topping, which creates the perfect gritty texture to buff the skin. It also smells slightly like caramel, which I am all here for!
I’m definitely stocked with LUSH goodies for a while now and I’m looking forward to the many pamper nights ahead! Of course, I’ll be sure to update you with my thoughts about some of the new products I collected.
Have you tried any of the goodies I showed in this post? What’s your favourite?
