I usually start these favourites posts with the beauty items that I used and loved most during the month. But I’m switching it up this time to share the single, most important and best lifestyle favourite from July…
As much as she drives me nuts, this little pup is one of the best decisions Dev and I have ever made. JUST LOOK AT THOSE EYES!! She’s the sweetest little girl, who loves to give hugs and cuddle. Her ears are warm and softer than cashmere. She smells like puppy. I’M IN LOVE!
I wrote an entire post about how our life is a little different now, that you can read (here) if you haven’t already. For the most part, she’s pretty good. She has graduated out of sleeping in her crate at night and now curls up on a bed beside ours. We’re still having issues with accidents in the house, but they’re happening less frequently. Aside from a few hyper moments here and there, she’s pretty calm and lazy, which I truly appreciate.
It’s crazy how much I have fallen in love with her in a month.
Now onto the beauty related items…
I’m not sure if I’m allergic to Mavis or the pollen outdoors, but my allergies have been acting up quite a bit lately. As a result, my nose is dry from blowing it so much. The Better Skin Co. Amaze Balm has really helped soothe and repair the irritated areas. It’s super thick and works best (for me) at night as a sleeping mask when it has time to truly sink in. It contains coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, sunflower and sea buckthorn, which are all super nourishing. A little goes a long way. It’s also scented with a hint of grapefruit, and therefore when I place it around my nose, I breath in a pleasant fragrance that also lifts my spirits and helps me feel more energetic.
I go back to this shower gel every summer when the brutal heat causes excessive sweating. I hate to admit it, but I’m a super sweaty girl and sometimes that sweat can cause me to breakout in unwanted areas, like my chest and back. This body wash works wonders to keep those breakouts at bay. It doesn’t dry out my skin and it has a beautiful grapefruit fragrance.
One of Revlon’s newest lip product launches reminds me of the Lancôme Juicy Shakers! I have the colour Naughty Mauve and it’s pretty much all I have worn the past few weeks. It’s a lot more pigmented, but has a similar sponge tip that feels so soft on the lips and makes application feel more luxurious and fun.
Sun protection is important all year round, but I’ll be honest, I use it much more often in the summer. I’ve really enjoyed using this SPF from Ombrelle, which has a slight tint and the smallest amount of coverage to help make my skin tone look more even. It’s thin and absorbs easily into my skin without making it feel greasy. It’s great for every day wear, either on its own for light makeup days, or under foundation. The best part is I have yet to get a sunburn!
What were some of your favourite products from the month of July. Let me know if there are any new launches that I NEED to try.
