I couldn’t…
The second I saw the LUSH Sleepy Face Naked Cleansing Balm with its adorably tired eyes and mouth, I knew I had to have it. THEN I SMELT IT! It has the same lavender and vanilla fragrance that you guys know I’m obsessed with. I use the Sleepy Lotion every night before bed. I’ve gone through a couple of bottles of the Sleepy Shower Gel, and I’ve used a number of Dreamtime Bath Oils with the same scent. It’s the most comforting, relaxing and dreamy fragrance. Quite literally it helps me catch more zzzz’s and enter dreamland.
I love that the LUSH Sleepy Face Naked Cleansing Balm has the same scent, because it lingers on my face after each use, further encapsulating my body with the fragrance I associate with sleep.
I’ve been using it every night before bed and I’m quite thrilled with how well it works. In addition to having a lovely fragrance, it also does a really great job removing makeup! In fact, it removed practically every trace of the skull makeup I posted to Instagram before Halloween (see here if you missed it). I was shocked!
What Is It?
The LUSH Sleepy Face Naked Cleansing Balm is a solid cleansing oil. It is meant to be used on dry skin. As it heats up, it releases oils, which help emulsify traces of makeup. Once it has been thoroughly massaged all over the face, it can be wiped away with a damp washcloth, taking with it any foundation, concealer, blush, and mascara.
It contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa and Shea Butter, Organic Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil, and Oat Milk, which leave the skin feeling very moisturized and slightly greasy. I honestly don’t mind the greasy residue, as it sinks in overnight and leaves my skin feeling super hydrated by morning.
In fact, I appreciate the fact that it cleanses and moisturizes at the same time. It’s a one-stop-shop product! I can kill two birds with one stone (is that a completely inappropriate saying considering my nickname and the name of this blog?). Normally, I would apply a moisturizer after cleansing my skin, but I don’t need to with this product, and I love that! My evening skincare routine has definitely been simplified!
How Much Does It Cost?
I also like that it was fairly affordable at $5.95 (CAD). Although, my little round sleepy friend does seem to be getting smaller and smaller every day. I’m not sure how much longer it will last. So far I’ve had it for about a month, and I’d say I’ve used about 3/4 of the solid cleanser. This is a little disappointing. But because it wasn’t overly pricey, I can confirm that I will purchase another…maybe two…before this one runs out. I’m a serious fan and can picture myself using the LUSH Sleepy Face Naked Cleansing Balm for a while.
Have you tried any of the LUSH Naked Cleansing Balms? Which one is your favourite?
